How We Met: I met Joe Gadd through BNI, the networking organization I am a member of. We got to know each other better, not during our weekly meetings, but during one of the ‘Business Services Power Meeting’. That’s right, since our BNI chapter is so large (50+ members), we also have smaller groups meeting every other week, and Joe and I attend those too.
First Impressions: Joe is very personable. Knowing his background, one can say he is ambitious in his career, but family is his priority. He has a wonderful wife Robyn and five beautiful children - Parker, Avery, Lily, Londyn, and Paxman. The couple believes in healthy living and often participates in marathons, bicycling and other physical activities. Recently, Joe presented his business at BNI, and I learned another one of his traits - Joe has world class presentation skills! In my professional career, I have seen some excellent presentations, and Joe’s was definitely one of them.
Business: Joe is the franchise owner of Lendio Nashville SE, a business dedicated to assisting Middle Tennessee small business owners obtain capital to grow and succeed. Built on the principles of options, speed, and trust, Lendio Nashville SE has matched many local business loan applicants with funding solutions in as little as one day.
Ideal Clients/Referral Partners: Joe’s ideal clients are small to medium business owners who need capital for their enterprise. Bank managers and other lending agencies may be able to refer to Joe business people, who they were unable to provide capital for whatever reason. Hence, these professionals are great referral partners for him.

The Shoot: Since he was just getting started on the journey of business ownership, Joe decided to get some new headshots to use on his website and social media. We had to reschedule our original appointment since Nashville experienced one of those ‘shut everything down’ snow days. Joe brought his beautiful daughter Londyn along.
Lighting: I tried out a new, yet simple lighting scheme during Joe’s shoot. I have added the rough lighting diagrams in the gallery below. I am not the best sketcher in the world, so if you are interested in understanding my lighting scheme, feel free to contact me.
Overall, the session went well and I got a couple portfolio worthy images!
