Bow Finger Archery : Product Renderings & 3D Product Animation

 
 

The Client

Bowfinger Archery is a leading manufacturer of Bowhunting and Target Archery Equipment located in Tennessee. The company has been in business since 2011.

The Problem

BowFinger was launching a new product - the 1Sight. With so many competitive products already in market, they wanted some visuals that would help them have an impressive launch and also something that could explain the product to the archery community in an engaging manner. They had seen one of their direct competitors use digital product renderings to effectively communicate the features of a product to the viewer. With this in mind, Bow Finger Archery contracted Nashbox Studios to create assets for their new product, the 1Sight. The project included creating a product animation and several still images.

 
 

The Solution

Bow Finger Archery is a premier manufacturer of quality archery products. Here are some reasons why this client is a good fit for the digital renders path:

  • The company designs and manufactures it’s own products. The CAD modeling data they were able to provide us was robust and needed little upgrading to be used for creative assets. This provided a head start to our 3D modeling team in Nashville and they could move on to the product renderings and animation stage.

  • This is a brand new product and they needed visual assets to create a ‘marketing buzz’.

  • They have found it beneficial to show their clients the intricate workings of their products. In this case, 3D animation of the products can help, as shown by the video of the product.

The project involved interviewing the owner (who is also their lead design engineer) to understand details of the product, rendering/texturing the CAD file, designing and animating the logos and also adding some motion graphics to the final video. From storyboarding to revising some brand elements, all the way to the final products, the project took about 6 weeks.

The Results

In all, we delivered the following assets:

  • One product animation video including background score, overlaid special effects and callouts.

  • Several still product renderings with different camera angles and perspectives, to use for their e-commerce stores as well as banners at trade shows.

  • The company has returned to us for renderings of some of their newer products as well.
