Wine & Beverage Photography

Late last year, we had the opportunity to do a small photography project for Amber Falls Winery, located in Hampshire TN. Tim Zeunbracher, owner of the winery, is a member of my BNI chapter, and that’s how we got connected. The challenge presented to us was capturing the grandeur of the Amber Falls Vineyard, and also ensure the wines are depicted as ‘Presidential’. Here are some images from the actual shoot.

Nashbox Studios was created in Nashville as a photography company focussed on product and lifestyle photography. Today, we have expanded significantly, and recently expanded services for product photography in Vancouver, in Canada. We are also an animation studio in Vancouver, along with our hometown of Nashville.

Landscape photography is done best early in the morning or late afternoon. For that reason, we started setting up for our session at 5:30 am. Our team worked at an energetic pace to ensure we are set up for our first scene before the sun gets too bright. On a related note, it’s surprising how quickly dawn moves to daylight, especially when the sun rises from behind the hill. For the ‘Sarah’s Choice Reisling’, we paired the wine wonderfully well with strawberries, blackberries and apricots. The cheese & cracker combination adds a further pleasing taste to the palate. We used one of the beautiful guest cottages at Amber Falls as the backdrop for this scene. The concept was simple. Sit at the table, sip some wine and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

Talking about scenery, the team captured some beautiful pictures of the vineyard! The long stretching vineyards, the guest cottage, the welcome sign at the gate - all were wonderfully captured. Afterwards, we made some portraits for Tim, his pretty bride Judy as well as the other team members.

Finally, Tim had requested a ‘royal’ image of the ‘President’s Choice Syra’ wine pouring into an Amber Falls wine glass. For this wine photograph, we used the wine bottle racks in the tasting room as backdrop. The lighting was straightforward for two reasons. First, lot’s of practice on our end through the years. Second, we didn’t have much space! The wine racks are in the back corner of the room, and we were literally crouching to around our equipment!

After the session, Amber Falls also needed product renderings of wine bottles, which we gladly did for them as a secondary project.
