Deep Isolation: Interactive 3D Animation for Nuclear Waste Disposal
Deep Isolation is a startup in the nuclear waste disposal industry. The team needed marketing assets to present their groundbreaking technology to investors and government agencies. Owing to the underground execution of the process, traditional photography and video are not the ideal means to create the required assets.
The Problem
When Peak Products used product photography in Vancouver for it’s catalogue and website needs, it faced certain challenges. Simple things would go wrong. For example: The angle at which the door was opened in the photo needed to be changed. Going back and doing the entire photoshoot is financially infeasible. Sometimes, content is needed last minute, and arranging for a photoshoot can take days or even weeks. There are other costs, like equipment and gear, locations etc., which are often not easily visible.

The Solution: Use Of 3D Product Visualization
Nashbox Studios developed an interactive 3D animation experience that allows users to explore each stage of the nuclear waste disposal process at their own pace. Using custom animation, technical visualization, and Intuiface development, we transformed complex engineering concepts into an engaging and easy-to-understand presentation for trade shows, investor meetings, and stakeholder engagement.

The Results
Deep Isolation deployed the presentation at multiple trade shows on a touch-enabled kiosk. The animation was well received and improved engagement with visitor to the booth.
The web version of the animation is to be deployed. Therefore we currently have a screen recording of the presentation.
The entire presentation is approximately 6 minutes long. The time spent by the users at the booth helps them learn more about Deep Isolation’s business and investors understand how their investments will be utilized.
